The Old Bakehouse is a landmark building in the pretty riverside village of Tuckton, Southbourne-On-Sea, and dating back to the 1800's this one bedroom holiday cottage is presented to a good standard with a good range of equipment and furnishings. The property is just a few minutes walk to the river Stour with it's riverside walks and quaint tea rooms and park. The Harvester Riverside Pub and Restaurant is very close with its varied menu and al 'fresco dining on the river bank. There are a range of local village shops in Tuckton, takeaways, a bakery and a post office along with a long standing Italian restaurant very popular with the locals. The historic town of Christchurch is a short drive away or for those wishing to be more active it is within walking distance. There you will find the weekly market and some traditional seaside shops, with some good fish and chips in the High Street and on the quay. The Quomps on the Quay with the Bandstand form quite a sight in the summer, with live music and plays often entertaining the crowds on those long summer evenings. Bournemouth town centre is easily accessible by car or by public transport on the doorstep of the property, if you want to undertake the more hustle and bustle of the seaside town. The new Forest National park can be conveniently reached and is a dog walkers paradise, with a lot of the Forest pubs welcoming pets. This property would be ideal for those couples or families looking to have all the entertainment within easy reach of a quaint little cottage, known as 'The Old Bakehouse'.

VISITOR COMMENTS: We recently stayed at the above property from 06/08/12-12/08/12 and wanted to let you know what a fantastic time we had. The cottage is gorgeous, really quaint but so beautifully decorated and furbished inside. We were really taken with the effort the owners had made in making us feel welcome and supplied all sorts of household products which isn’t what we expected in a self-catering home. The house itself was really cosy and all the facilities were in excellent working order. There was everything that you could ever need on a self-catering holiday and more! Needless to say, we were really, really impressed and are looking forward to coming back sometime next year to stay here again. We have told many of our friends and family about the property too who are interested as well.
Everything was brilliant, the buses into Bournemouth, the walk into Christchurch and its shops, the fair, the marina – I could go on and on.
