This is a delightful holiday home, well furnished and equipped, an absolute gem. A light and airy house with a conservatory and garden situated in a cul-de-sac close to Tuckton village and the river Stour. In Tuckton you can eat at restaurants or from takeaways, enjoy tea in Tuckton tea gardens/play area, relax at the Riverside Pub by Tuckton bridge and watch the boats, hire a row or motor boat and catch the ferry. You can enjoy lovely walks along the river Stour or explore the countryside habitat and wildlife at Wick Fields close to historic Wick village. This is part of the ‘Stour Valley Way’ walk to Hengistbury Head scenic Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest, perfect for bird watching. A walk or short drive takes you to Hengistbury Head to enjoy the fantastic coastal views and ride the Noddy train and discover the wonderful new visitor centre in the old thatched barn. Taking the ferry boat to Christchurch and Mudeford Sandbank is another option, which links up to Hengistbury Head for a combined boat ride, walk and ride on the Noddy Train. You can also walk to the children’s play areas and Quomps children’s splash park in Christchurch. Or why not play tennis, bowls or ball games in the kick about area at Seafield Gardens, where children can have fun in the play area and the family can enjoy refreshments in the cafe, approximately 1 km away. Other activities locally include the opportunity to play golf at many courses nearby, going fishing on the river Avon and Stour, crabbing at Mudeford Quay or sailing on the rivers or Christchurch’s large shallow harbour. An approximate 15 minute walk or few minutes car drive will also lead you to Southbourne beach. There is easy, nearby access to buses and trains (Christchurch station). Locally you can visit Christchurch a quaint, historical destination with beautiful riverside walks, a leisurely walk or short bus ride away. There is so much to explore in the area, with a variety of other attractions and the New Forest also nearby.

SHORT BREAKS: are preferred FRI to MON or MON to FRI (please note that Short Breaks are only accepted in the E Season as last minute bookings where they are booked within one week of the arrival date). WEEKLY LETS: can start on MONDAY, FRIDAY or SATURDAY outside of the E Season but should only start on SATURDAY within the E Season.
